മുത്ത് നബിﷺയെ ഔദ്യോഗികമായി ദൗത്യമേൽപിക്കുന്ന പ്രഥമഘട്ടത്തെകുറിച്ചുള്ള ഒരു നിവേദനം ഇങ്ങനെ വായിക്കാം. റമളാനിലെ അവസാനത്തിൽ മുത്ത് നബിﷺ ഹിറാ ഗുഹയിൽ ആരാധനയിലായിരുന്നു. ശനിയാഴ്ച രാത്രിയും ഞായറാഴ്ച രാത്രിയും ജിബ് രീൽ (അ) നബി ﷺയെ സമീപിച്ചു. തിങ്കളാഴ്ച രാത്രിയിൽ ജിബ്‌രീലും മികാഈലും(അ) ഒരുമിച്ച് നബി ﷺയുടെ മുമ്പിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. മികാഈൽ(അ) ആകാശഭൂമികൾകിടയിൽ അന്തരീക്ഷത്തിൽ നിന്നു. മലക്കുകളിൽ ഒരാൾ മറ്റൊരാളോട് ചോദിച്ചു. ഇത് തന്നെയല്ലേ നാം ഉദേശിച്ച വ്യക്തി? അതെ, ഇതു തന്നെ. അടുത്തയാൾ മറുപടിയും പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാൽ ഈ വ്യക്തിയെ ഒരാളോടൊപ്പം ഒന്നു തൂക്കി നോക്കാം. അപ്പോൾ ഭാരത്തിൽ നബി ﷺ മികച്ചു നിന്നു. ഒരാൾക്ക് പകരം പത്ത് പേരെ വച്ച് തൂക്കി നോക്കാൻ കൽപനയുണ്ടായി. അപ്പോഴും നബി ﷺ തന്നെ മികച്ചു നിന്നു. നൂറു പേരെ വച്ചു പരിശോധിച്ചപ്പോഴും അപ്രകാരം തന്നെ അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടു. അവസാനം അവർ പറഞ്ഞു. കഅബയുടെ നാഥൻ തന്നെ സത്യം. ഈ വ്യക്തിയുടെ മറുഭാഗത്ത് സമുദായത്തെ മുഴുവൻ വച്ച് നോക്കിയാലും ഇവർ തന്നെ മികച്ച് നിൽക്കും.
ശേഷം മുത്ത് രത്നങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടലങ്കരിച്ച സവിശേഷമായ ഒരു വിരിപ്പ് നിവർത്തി. അതിന്മേൽ നബി ﷺ യെ ഇരുത്തി. ഒരാൾ പറഞ്ഞു, ഈ വ്യക്തിയുടെ അകം ഒന്നു പവിത്രമാക്കണം. അവർ അത് നിർവഹിച്ചു. (മനുഷ്യ പ്രകൃതിയിൽ) പൈശാചിക സംവേദനത്തിന് സാധ്യതയുള്ള രക്ത പിണ്ഡം നബി ﷺ യുടെ ശരീരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് എടുത്ത് മാറ്റി. ഒരാൾ പറഞ്ഞു, അകം നന്നായി കഴുകി പരിശുദ്ധമാക്കുക. തുടർന്ന് ശരീരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് തുറന്ന ഭാഗം തുന്നിച്ചേർത്തു. നബി ﷺ യെ ശരിയായ വിധത്തിൽ നിവർത്തിയിരുത്തി.
പിന്നീട് പ്രവാചകത്വ ദൗത്യം ഏൽപ്പിച്ചു. ശേഷം മനോധൈര്യത്തിനാവശ്യമായതെല്ലാം നൽകി. ജിബ്‌രീൽ(അ) നബി ﷺ യോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു, വായിക്കുക... നബി ﷺ പറഞ്ഞു ഞാൻ വായിക്കുന്ന ആളല്ല. ഉടനെ ജിബ്‌രീൽ(അ) നബി ﷺ യെ ഗാഢമായി ഒന്ന് ആലിംഗനം ചെയ്തു.
ആലിംഗനത്തിന്റെ ഗാഢത നബി ﷺ അനുഭവിച്ചു. വീണ്ടും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു, വായിക്കുക... ഞാൻ വായിക്കുന്ന ആളല്ല. മൂന്ന് പ്രാവശ്യം ഇതാവർത്തിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് സൂറതുൽ ഖലമിലെ ഇഖ്റഅ ബിസ്മി.... തുടങ്ങി ആദ്യഭാഗം ജിബ്‌രീൽ(അ) പാരായണം ചെയ്തു കൊടുത്തു. കേൾപ്പിച്ച സൂക്തങ്ങളുടെ ആശയം ഇപ്രകാരമാണ്. "തങ്ങളെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച നാഥന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ വായിക്കുക!അലഖിൽ(രക്തപിണ്ഡത്തിൽ) നിന്നും അവൻ മനുഷ്യനെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. വായിക്കുക... തങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവ് അത്യുദാരനാണ്. അവൻ പേന കൊണ്ട് പഠിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു"
ഞാൻ വായിക്കുന്ന ആളല്ല എന്ന പ്രയോഗം ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്. കാരണം അവിടുന്ന് ഒരധ്യാപകനിൽ നിന്നും എഴുത്തോ വായനയോ അഭ്യസിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല. എന്നാൽ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ വായിക്കാൻ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ നബി ﷺ വിസമ്മതിച്ചില്ല. കാരണം, അപ്പോൾ വായിക്കാനുള്ള കഴിവ് അല്ലാഹു നൽകിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു. അഥവാ പ്രവാചകർ ﷺ ക്ക് ലഭിച്ചതെല്ലാം സവിശേഷമായി അല്ലാഹു നേരിട്ട് തന്നെ നൽകിയതാണ്. 'ഉമ്മിയ്യ്' എന്ന അറബി പദത്തിന്റെ അർത്ഥം അക്ഷരജ്ഞാനം ഇല്ലാത്തയാൾ എന്നാണ്. എന്നാൽ നബി ﷺ ഉമ്മിയ്യ് ആണെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാൽ അർത്ഥം അങ്ങനെയല്ല. സാധാരണ രീതിയിൽ വിജ്ഞാനം നേടിയിട്ടില്ല എന്നേ അർത്ഥമുള്ളൂ. നടപ്പു രീതികളിൽ ഒന്നും പഠിക്കാതെ തന്നെ എല്ലാ വിജ്ഞാനവും കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്തപ്പോഴാണ് നബി ﷺ യുടെ വിജ്ഞാനത്തിൽ ഏവരും ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടത്.
ഹിറാ ഗുഹയിൽ നിന്ന് ഖുർആൻ സ്വീകരിച്ച നബി ﷺ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് നടന്നു. വഴിയോരത്തുള്ള കല്ലുകളും ചില്ലകളും നബിക്ക് സലാം ചൊല്ലുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ലഭിച്ച വേദത്തിന്റെയും ഏൽപിക്കപ്പെട്ട ദൗത്യത്തിന്റെയും ഭാരം വലുതായിരുന്നു. നബി ﷺ യുടെ ഹൃദയം പിടച്ചു കൊണ്ടേയിരുന്നു. വീട്ടിലേക്കടുക്കാനും പ്രിയതമയെ വിളിച്ചു. ഓ ഖദീജാ.. എന്നെ പുതപ്പിച്ചു കിടത്തൂ.. എന്നെ പുതപ്പിച്ചു കിടത്തൂ.. വേഗം തന്നെ ഖദീജ(റ) പുതച്ചു കൊടുത്തു. അത്യുന്നതമായ ഒരു സൗഭാഗ്യമാണ് ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത് എന്ന ബോധ്യം തങ്ങൾക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ദൗത്യത്തിന്റെ ഭാരം തങ്ങളെ സ്വാധീനിച്ചു. ഖദീജ(റ) അടുത്ത് തന്നെ നിന്ന് ആശ്വാസവാക്കുകൾ പറഞ്ഞു...
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنٰا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلِّمْ

Here is an account of the first phase of the official entrusting of the task to the Prophet Muhammadﷺ: At the end of Ramadan, Prophet Muhammadﷺ was worshiping in the Cave of Hira. On Saturday night and Sunday night, Jibreel (A.S) approached the Prophetﷺ. On Monday night, Jibreel and Michael (A.S)appeared together before the Prophet ﷺ. Michael (A.S) stood in the air between the heavens and the earth. One of the angels asked the other, "Is this not the one We intended?" Yes. 'This is'. The next one answered. But let's weigh this person with someone. Then the Prophetﷺ became better in weight than the other. There was an order to weigh ten people instead of one. Even then, the Prophetﷺ was ahead in weight. Same was the case when one thousand people were weighed. Finally, they said. By the Lord of the holy Ka'aba even if the entire community is placed on the other side of this person, he will outweigh them all.
Then a special mat decorated with pearls and jewels was made and the Prophetﷺ was seated on it. 'Purify the inner side of this person'. One said. They did so. The clot of blood (in human nature) prone to demonic influence was removed from the body of the Prophetﷺ. One said: Wash inside thoroughly and purify it. Then the open part of the body was stitched. The Prophetﷺ was seated properly.
Later he was entrusted with the mission of prophecy . Then he was given everything necessary for gaining courage. Jibreel (A)asked the Prophetﷺ to Read.... The Prophetﷺ said, I am not a reader. Immediately Gibreel hugged the Prophetﷺ tightly.
The Prophetﷺ felt the depth of the embrace. Again Jibreel(A) asked to read...' I am not a reader'.. the Prophetﷺ repeated this three times. Then Jibreel recited the first part of Surat al-Qalam. "Read in the name of your Lord who created you! He has created man from "Alaq" (blood clot).. Read.... Your Lord is bountiful. He has taught with the pen"
The phrase "I am not a reader" is significant because he did not learn to read or write from any teacher. But when he was told to read in the name of Allah, the Prophet did not refuse. Because then Allah had already given him the ability to read. In other words, everything that was given to the Prophet ﷺ was specially given to him by Allah. The Arabic word 'Ummiyy' means one who does not have the knowledge of letters. But in the case of the Prophetﷺ the word 'ummiyy' does not mean that. It means that he did not acquire knowledge in the normal way as others do. Everyone was amazed at the knowledge of the Prophetﷺ when he handled all the branches of knowledge without learning anything in practical way.
After receiving the holy Qur'an from Hira Cave, the Prophet walked home. The stones and branches on either side were saying Salam to the Prophetﷺ. The weight of the received-scripture and responsibility entrusted were great. His heart kept quivering. Rushed to home calling Khadeeja... Cover me... Cover me... Khadija quickly covered him . He has the conviction that he has received a great blessing. But the seriousness of the mission affected him. Khadeeja was near uttering comforting words.
